1, record 40, French, - dod%C3%A9ca%C3%A8dre

A more sophisticated type of (rock bolt) tension indicator is the compression pad. This consists of a rubber disk sandwiched between two steel plate washers. The assemblage is installed in the manner of a bearing plate on the bolt. The amount by which the rubber disk extrudes around the periphery is proportional to the tension in the roof bolt and may be measured with a circular steel band which is graduated to read directly in pounds. 2, record 49, English, - compression%20pad

1, record 49, French, - coussinet%20de%20compression

The statement of mission or purpose of the organization. It is a description of the ideal or reason for existence of the organization. It defines the organization's ethical tone and basic philosophy but is never completely attainable. The time span for ideal goals is infinite and consequently they tend to be a relatively fixed organizational anchor point. 1, record 50, English, - ideal%20goal

1, record 50, French, - but%20id%C3%A9al

Hemidesmosomes, or half desmosomes, are a third type of adhering junction found in epithelial cells. They serve as anchoring sites for bundles of tonofilaments, but (...) they do not link adjacent cells but rather join individual epithelial cells to the underlying matrix of connective tissue, thereby preventing the two layers from separating. 1, record 51, English, - hemidesmosome
