Direct Audio Input (DAI) is where the signal travels directly into one or both hearing aids along a cord that is plugged into the receiver on one end, and the hearing aids on the other. A special "boot" or "shoe" slips over one end of the hearing aid and the cord plugs into this device. The hearing aid then passes the signal to the ear. 1, record 2, English, - boot
