The leeward viaducts, west of the tunnels, were cast in place using overhead steel trusses with movable form travelers. The 41-ft-wide curved girder structures are composed of 24 ft segments. A value engineering analysis led to a change in the windward viaducts from cast in place to precast. Self-launching trusses delivered the precast segments over completed spans for placement in balanced cantilever alignment, eliminating the need for crane access to the valley floor. 1, record 17, English, - self%2Dlaunching%20truss

Record number: 17, Textual support number: 2 CONT
4, record 17, French, - cintre%20autolanceur
