Acte par lequel un employeur cesse de requérir les services d’un employé et met fin au contrat de travail pour une cause juste.

Le cadre juridique impose à l'employeur certaines obligations envers l'employé. Ces obligations comprennent des questions comme le salaire minimum, la salubrité et la sécurité du milieu de travail, le versement régulier du salaire et un préavis raisonnable de licenciement, sauf en cas de renvoi justifié.

OBS

Les termes «renvoi» et «congédiement» sont par définition motivés. C’est-à-dire qu’ils sont appuyés d’un motif.
