A Senate committee that is neither a standing nor a special committee and that is appointed at the beginning of each session to nominate, through reports to the Senate, a Senator to serve as Speaker pro tempore, and Senators to serve on the standing committees and the standing joint committees.

OBS

The committee is also empowered to propose to the Senate from time to time changes in the membership of a committee.

After a meeting with interim President Boniface Alexandre, the Prime Minister will participate in a working meeting with Prime Minister Gerard Latortue where topics of discussion will include the implementation of the Government of Haiti's Interim Cooperation Framework (ICF). The ICF, presented at the July International Donors Pledging Conference, identifies priority interventions and related financing needs to support the country's economic, social and political recovery over the next two years. Canada has pledged close to $147 million in support of the ICF.

At the start of each parliamentary session, a senator is nominated by a selection committee to assume the role of Speaker pro tempore, or acting Speaker. The nomination is then confirmed through a vote in the Senate. The Speaker pro tempore serves whenever the Speaker is unable to attend a sitting of the Senate.

Au début de chaque session, un sénateur est nommé par un comité de sélection pour assumer la charge de Président intérimaire. Cette nomination est confirmée par un vote au Sénat. Le Président intérimaire occupe le fauteuil chaque fois que le Président ne peut être présent.

Bien que l’usage français préconise l’emploi de la minuscule pour les titres de poste, la majuscule à Président et à Présidente est obligatoire dans les documents concernant les délibérations de la Chambre des communes et du Sénat, car elle permet de faire la distinction entre le Président de chacune de ces chambres et les présidents des comités.

Interim Agreement on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip or Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement, or simply the Interim Agreement, also known as Oslo 2 (or Oslo II), and alternately known as Taba, was a key and complex agreement about the future of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. It was first signed in Taba (in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt) by Israel and the PLO on September 24, 1995 and then four days later on September 28, 1995 by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat and witnessed by US President Bill Clinton as well as by representatives of Russia, Egypt, Jordan, Norway, and the European Union in Washington, D.C.

La signature a eu lieu une première fois à Taba le 24 septembre 1995 puis de nouveau à Washington le 28 septembre 1995, en présence des représentants russes, américains, européens, égyptiens, jordaniens et norvégiens.
