The Public Service Commission Advisory Council (PSCAC) is established for the purpose of providing a forum where Public Service bargaining agents, departmental representatives, Public Service Commission (PSC) representatives, the Chair of the Human Resources Council (HRC), a representative of the Public Service Human Resource Management Agency of Canada, and a participating observer from the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) meet to discuss and consult on Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) matters of common concern and interest and to exchange information and views. The PSCAC may consult on any matter falling under the Public Service Employment Act or any related subject of interest. The PSCAC is supported by the General Secretary and the Secretariat which is established to facilitate the work of the Advisory Council, and the Working Groups.

Le Conseil consultatif de la Commission de la fonction publique(CCCFP) se veut une tribune où les négociateurs de la fonction publique, les représentants de ministère, les représentants de la Commission de la fonction publique(CFP), le président du Conseil des ressources humaines(CRH) et un observateur participant du Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor(SCT) se rencontrent pour discuter et se consulter au sujet de questions d’intérêt commun relatives à la Loi sur l'emploi dans la fonction publique(LEFP) ainsi que pour échanger des renseignements et des points de vue. LE CCCFP peut aussi aborder toute question relevant de la LEFP ou tout sujet connexe d’intérêt. Les activités du CCCFP sont appuyées par le secrétaire général et le Secrétariat, lequel est mis sur pied pour faciliter le travail du Conseil consultatif et des groupes de travail.
