ROBINET ELECTROMAGNETIQUE [6 records]

Record 1 2017-06-21

English

Subject field(s)
  • Closing Devices and Nozzles (Mechanical Components)
  • Engines (Motor Vehicles)
  • Aeroindustry
DEF

An automatic safety shutoff valve which is opened or closed by the action of a solenoid upon an armature attached to the valve disc, resulting in fast opening and closing times (less than 1 second).

OBS

It is widely used for low volume duty, such as a pilot valve, or a main fuel valve in a small-to-medium size on-off system.

OBS

solenoid valve: term officially approved by the Lexicon Project Committee (New Brunswick).

French

Domaine(s)
  • Obturateurs et buses (Composants mécaniques)
  • Moteur (Véhicules automobiles)
  • Constructions aéronautiques
DEF

Record 2 2016-07-29

English

Subject field(s)
  • Closing Devices and Nozzles (Mechanical Components)
  • Taps and Plumbing Accessories
  • Restaurant Equipment
CONT

Steam coils allow the condensed steam to be returned to the steam generator, a decided advantage when there is a question of purity of steam. A thermostat controls a steam solenoid valve and maintains the correct temperature. A steam trap is mounted on the steam return line.

OBS

For flight dishwashers.

English

Subject field(s)
  • Closing Devices and Nozzles (Mechanical Components)
  • Engines (Motor Vehicles)
CONT

The [company] has introduced an electrohydraulic on/off solenoid valve and proportional solenoid valve for automotive suspensions. When these valves are interfaced with a computerized control system, they react much faster to road conditions than the previous electronic setup.

Record 4 1994-12-19

English

Subject field(s)
  • Signals (Military)
  • Air Communications (Air Forces)
  • Radar, Radio Guidance and Goniometry
CONT

These first transmissions were nothing more than Morse-coded blasts of energy - the transmitter was keyed on and off by a telegraph switch, a modulation technique known as interrupted continuous wave or ICW.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Transmissions de campagne (Militaire)
  • Communications aériennes (Forces aériennes)
  • Radar, radioguidage et radiogoniométrie
CONT

Record 6 1994-04-13

English

Subject field(s)
  • Household Cleaning and Maintenance
CONT

This thermostat is wired from the electrical source to the steam solenoid which on demand from the capillary tube opens the steam solenoid allowing the steam to rush into the chamber and bringing the final rinse water up to the predetermined temperature setting.

French

Domaine(s)
