Entretien des gazons.(...) durant toute la belle saison, c'est la répétition des trois opérations de tonte, roulage et arrosage qui constitue l'essentiel du travail. La fréquence des tontes suivra la vitesse de la pousse, mais il faut envisager au moins une tonte par semaine et jusqu'à deux pour un gazon soigné en mai-juin, alors que la végétation est la plus active. Par la suite, on espace jusqu'à deux ou trois semaines, pour cesser en septembre. L'herbe coupée est ramassée et évacuée. Le roulage aura lieu de préférence sur terrain humide, mais il serait néfaste sur sol détrempé. Les arrosages seront fonction des conditions atmosphériques; ils doivent être suffisamment copieux pour imbiber le sol en profondeur, de façon à favoriser, dans ce sens plutôt qu'en surface, le développement des racines.
