Record 1 2005-09-28

English

Subject field(s)
  • Thermal Springs - Uses
CONT

Most authors agree that a rift-cover sequence represents basinal development due to thermal relaxation after extension or the rift sag stage.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Thermalisme
CONT

English

Subject field(s)
  • Tectonics
CONT

Most commonly, Sedex deposits occur within rift-cover sequences as opposed to the rift-fill sequences ... The rift-cover sequence, which commonly consists of shallow water sedimentary facies, is deposited during the thermal subsidence of rift sag stage (of rifting) and covers both the buried site of the rift and its adjacent platformal shoulders.

CONT
