The International Textile, Garment and Leather Workers' Federation (ITGLWF) is a Global Union Federation bringing together 217 affiliated organisations in 110 countries. The Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) is a professional farmers' union organization. Its main purpose and its action are based on values: respect for the individual, solidarity, collective action, social justice, fairness, democracy. In compliance with these values, the chief mission of the UPA is to promote, defend and develop the professional, economic, social and moral interests of Québec's farm producers, without distinction as to race, nationality, gender, language or beliefs. In addition, in constant interaction with all of Québec society, the UPA helps improve living conditions of rural communities at the social, economic and cultural levels. Finally, the UPA recognizes that Québec agriculture exists within the context of global interactions and, consequently, that it can associate with the collective action of farm producers groups in Canada and elsewhere in the world. It was in 1920 that was founded, in The Hague (Holland), the international trade union organisation currently known as World Confederation of Labour - WCL. Born in the European cradle and inspired by the basic values of Christian humanism, this organisation was constituted under the name of "International Federation of Christian Trade Unions (IFCTU)." En 1920 se constituyó en La Haya (Holanda) la organización sindical mundial conocida actualmente como la Confederación Mundial del Trabajo - CMT. Nacida en la cuna europea e inspirada por los valores fundamentales del humanismo cristiano, esta organización fue bautizada "Confederación Internacional de Sindicatos Cristianos (CISC)".
