1, record 1, Spanish, - c%C3%A1psula%20supers%C3%B3nica

An implanted port is similar to a tunneled catheter but is left entirely under the skin. Medications are injected through the skin into the catheter. Some implanted ports contain a small reservoir that can be refilled in the same way. Once filled, the reservoir slowly releases the medication into the bloodstream. An implanted port is less obvious than a tunneled catheter and requires very little daily care. It has less impact on a person's activities than a PICC [peripherally inserted central catheter] or tunneled catheter. 2, record 3, English, - implanted%20port

Barometer whose sensitive element is composed of one or a series of aneroid capsules. 4, record 4, English, - aneroid%20barometer

Pressure is measured using a barometer. An aneroid barometer has a capsule [usually metallic] which collapses slightly when pressure increases and expands when it decreases. These motions are transferred to a dial and calibrated in either millimetres of mercury or millibars or inches. 5, record 4, English, - aneroid%20barometer
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The aneroid barometer was invented by a Frenchman, Lucien Vidie, in 1843. He produced a metallic barometer which he called an aneroid, from the Greek, meaning "without liquid." The principle of the aneroid barometer is the change in height of a sealed metallic chamber which has flexible upper and lower surfaces. As the pressure changes, so the height of the chamber varies which, in turn, moves an index pointer. 6, record 4, English, - aneroid%20barometer
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 3 CONT
Aneroid barometer is temperature compensated at a given pressure level by adjustment of the residual gas in the aneroid or by a bimetallic link arrangement. The instrument is subject to uncertainties due to variations in the elastic properties of the spring and capsules, and due to wear in the mechanical linkages. 7, record 4, English, - aneroid%20barometer

The roll-on closure is used in the food, carbonated beverage, and pharmaceutical markets where pressure sealing is required ... A widely used version today is the tamper-evident roll-on [closure]. A tear band perforated along the bottom of the closure skirt is tucked under a locking ring during capping by a special roller. When opened by the consumer, the band separates from the closure to provide visible evidence of tampering. 4, record 9, English, - roll%2Don%20pilferproof%20closure

roll-on cap: A type of closure made usually of metal, for application to threads on the outside surface of the neck of glass containers. Aneroid barometer: An instrument for measuring atmospheric pressure. It is constructed on the following principles: an aneroid capsule (Vidie capsule, which is a thin, disk-shaped box or capsule, usually metallic) is partially evacuated of gas, and is restrained from collapsing by an external or internal spring. The deflection of the spring will be nearly proportional to the difference between the internal and external pressures. Contraction capsulaire. Some confusion exists regarding the terms carpitis and osselets; therefore, a definition is appropriate. Carpitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the carpal joint that may involve the fibrous joint capsule synovial membrane, associated ligaments, and bones of the carpus ... Osselets has been defined as a traumatic arthritis of the metacarpophalangeal joint. It is more appropriate to restrict the term osselets to describe the thickening associated with synovitis and capulitis of the fibrous joint capsule at the dorsal aspect of the metacarpophalangeal joint. Ossification can develop as a chronic change. 3, record 31, English, - osselets

A popular TE option for food products packaged in glass containers under vacuum is the "button-top closure". These include lug versions used for jellies, sauces, and juices, and the threaded-seal version popular with the baby-food industry. A safety button, or coin-sized embossment on the top of the cap, pops-up as the jar is opened and its vacuum is lost. Accompanying this is the "pop" which serves as audible evidence of an undisrupted seal. When capped the embossed button is held down by vacuum pressure, providing the consumer with visual evidence that the container has not been opened. 1, record 36, English, - button%2Dtop%20closure

Methods of Closure Thread-engagement types (...) Press-Twist. The "press-twist" is another closure which attains its threads on the capping line. Primarily used for baby foods it also provides closure for sauces, gravies and juices. Applied in a steam atmosphere, the plastisol side gasket in the heated cap forms thread impressions when pressed against the glass finish. As it cools, permanent impressions are formed in the compound so the cap can be twisted to open and reseal similar to a CT cap. 1, record 37, English, - press%2Don%2Ftwist%2Doff%20vacuum%20closure

1, record 38, French, - anapside
