Your health unit is a non-profit agency that is publicly funded by the municipal and provincial governments. In response to the health needs of the community: We provide health education, public education, public awareness campaigns and skill building opportunities. We advocate for public policy that supports good health such as healthy eating, active living and not smoking. We respond to natural and man-made environmental emergencies. We monitor the health status of the community. We provide clinical services. We partner with individuals, groups and agencies to provide optimum services.
