En l'an 2000, le 400ième anniversaire de Tadoussac conjointement à l'aide fournie par l'Auberge de Jeunesse furent les précurseurs de la lancée de cet événement et depuis ce temps, ce jeune festival prend racine à l'intérieur même de ces ancestrales, riches et enchanteresses terres de Tadoussac. C'est d’ailleurs à travers ce partage privilégié et ces expériences uniques entre la musique, les chants, la danse et le vécu des artistes que notre folklore revit. Le festival des Folkloriques fait tout en son œuvre pour conserver notre folklore mais aussi d’étendre ses racines [...] d’aller à la rencontre de la richesse et de la couleur des traditions et de découvrir que sous le feuillage musical que toutes les racines se croisent et s’entrecroisent pour finalement se rejoindre!
