Mais, contrairement aux autres types d’installations précédemment décrits, et bien que l'intérieur de l'œuvre se définisse par un espace perspectiviste linéaire qui creuse en profondeur, l'installation-fenêtre fonctionne selon une distance proxémique intime(près du corps) [...] Le dispositif de présentation de l'œuvre instaure un effet de distance proxémique proche à cause du positionnement du corps du spectateur, alors que le contenu iconique de la scène «recule» en distance publique/sociale.
