The Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre (OICC) has been serving Inuit children, youth and their families since 2005. Originally established by parents of children in the Head Start program at Tungasuvvingat Inuit, OICC has become a multi-service Inuit organization that provides cultural, educational, recreational and social support services to families of Ottawa's growing Inuit population. Over the years, the organization has evolved into a central community hub, offering a continuum of services to children and youth up to 13 years of age.

Depuis 2005, le Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre(OICC) répond aux besoins d’enfants et de jeunes Inuits, et de leurs familles. Établi par les parents d’enfants inscrits au programme Bon départ de Tungasuvvingat Inuit, le OICC est aujourd’hui un organisme inuit multiservice qui prodigue du soutien culturel, éducatif, récréatif et social aux familles de la collectivité inuite en plein essor d’Ottawa. Au fil des ans, l'organisme s’est transformé en un carrefour communautaire offrant toute une gamme de services aux enfants et aux jeunes d’au plus 13 ans.

Tungasuvvingat Inuit provides Inuit specific programs, services, and support to empower and enhance the lives of Inuit. The mandate is to provide social support for Inuit residing in Ontario as follows: to assist Inuit adjusting to southern urban culture; to provide vocational and employment advice; to assist with family and personal difficulties; to counsel and make referrals for those requesting assistance in dealing with substance abuse; to provide personal financial management information and counselling; to set up community and recreational programs.
