A functional term consists of a function constant and an arbitrary number of argument terms, terminated by an optional sequence variable. Note that there is no syntactic restriction on the number of argument terms - the same function constant can be applied to different numbers of arguments; arity restrictions in KIF are treated semantically. 1, record 4, English, - syntactic%20restriction

Terminal elevator driers have a wide range of capacities but most vary from 15 to 110 tonnes per hour. Most Canadian terminals have a modest total drying capacity since their use is erratic. Normally driers are located outside the terminal or in many cases are installed in converted large storage bins. Independent handling systems are installed for each of the wet and dry grains. Thus the design of a terminal is affected by the amount of grain drying performed, since the necessary handling systems and surge capacity must be available. 1, record 5, English, - terminal%20elevator%20dryer

2, record 5, French, - s%C3%A9choir%20de%20silo%20terminal
