La signature texturale correspond à l'agencement ou distribution spatiale d’un motif de base de l'image. Ce motif unité représente par exemple un arrangement répétitif d’éléments, constituant une répétition de motifs(Haralick et al., 1973), ou bien une périodicité dans l'image. La signature texturale est en principe indépendante de la taille et de la forme de l'image d’origine mais, par contre, dépend de la taille et de la forme de la fenêtre d’analyse. Ainsi, des opérateurs statistiques telles que la moyenne ou la variance, souvent utilisés pour quantifier la texture des images de la télédétection, dépendent directement de l'interaction entre la taille des objets et la résolution du capteur. 4, record 2, French, - signature%20de%20texture
