The Juvenile Victimization Questionnaire (JVQ) was developed in the USA [United States of America] by David Finkelhor and his colleagues ... In this paper we compare the findings of this new instrument with those of the General Social Survey, a tried and tested questionnaire which has been in use in Canada for over 20 years ... Specifically, we compare these two victimization questionnaires with respect to lifetime victimization and annual victimization for youth between 15 to 17 years of age. The results indicate that, although there are differences between both questionnaires[, they] find similar rates of annual victimization, but differences regarding lifetime victimization. 1, record 4, English, - lifetime%20victimization

Previous Victimization. Researchers have found that some people become victimized again and again throughout their lives ... The relationships between trauma incidents are quite complex: new victimization interferes with the person's ability to cope with past trauma; and previous victimization affects how he or she will cope with the new trauma. In effect, the repeated victimizations interrupt the person's normal healing process, especially if the revictimization occurs in a relatively short period after initial victimization ... 1, record 5, English, - previous%20victimization

1, record 16, French, - empreinte

The Lest We Forget Project is the inspiration of Blake Seward, a history teacher at Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute, in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Concerned that the contributions of those who died serving in the First World War have been largely forgotten, Seward began researching the military history of his own great uncle, who fought and died at Passchendaele. Seward soon realized that this type of research would be an exciting way to make history come alive in the classroom. It would give students the opportunity to document the life stories of the men and women who served in the First World War. 1, record 50, English, - Lest%20We%20Forget

1, record 70, French, - Les%20enfants%20mal%20aim%C3%A9s%20%2D%20Chantal

Shade houses may either be large walk-in structures (or) low covered frames. Although shading is commonly used to reduce temperature, it is also used to protect such shade-loving plants as chrysanthemum, hydrangea, azalea, and various foliage plants from leaf damage caused by high light intensity. This is accomplished through the use of such materials as lath or screening. In addition, various types of "shading cloth" are available that can be used to cut down light intensity by different amounts. 4, record 71, English, - shade%20house
