Tuvaijuittuq is an area of particular ecological importance due to the presence of old, thick, multi-year pack ice. Sea ice provides habitat for ice-adapted organisms, such as microscopic algae, that form the basis of, and provide energy for, Arctic marine food webs all the way up to marine mammals and polar bears. The seabed community in this area is more abundant and diverse than previously expected and may also have important implications for supporting larger animals such as walrus and bearded seals. 3, record 3, English, - Tuvaijuittuq%20Marine%20Protected%20Area

2, record 3, French, - zone%20de%20protection%20marine%20de%20Tuvaijuittuq

interdiction at sea: There is a discrepancy between the information on the UNHCR online thesaurus and their printed version from 2004. The Earth is surrounded by a blanket of air, which we call the atmosphere. It reaches over 560 kilometers (348 miles) from the surface of the Earth, so we are only able to see what occurs fairly close to the ground. ... Life on Earth is supported by the atmosphere, solar energy, and our planet's magnetic fields. The atmosphere absorbs the energy from the Sun, recycles water and other chemicals, and works with the electrical and magnetic forces to provide a moderate climate. The atmosphere also protects us from high-energy radiation and the frigid vacuum of space. The envelope of gas surrounding the Earth changes from the ground up. Four distinct layers have been identified using thermal characteristics (temperature changes), chemical composition, movement, and density [:] the troposphere ..., the stratosphere ..., the mesophere ..., the thermosphere. The exosphere starts at the top to the thermosphere and continues until it merges with interplanetary gases, or space. In this region of the atmosphere, Hydrogen and Helium are the prime components and are only present at extremely low densities. 3, record 24, English, - Earth%27s%20atmosphere

2, record 24, French, - atmosph%C3%A8re%20terrestre

Absolute atmospheres (or Atmospheres absolute, or ATA) - The ambient pressure including the air column over the water. The air column = 1 atm. at sea level. In sea water, another atmosphere is added each 33 FSW. There is an increase in pressure per foot of sea water equivalent to 1/33 or .03030303. So ATA may be calculated by multiplying the depth (FSW) by .0303030 and then adding 1 for the air above the water. i.e. the ATA at 46 FSW = (46 [asterisk] .0303030) + 1 = 2.3939 ATA. to convert ATA to FSW.ATA - 1 [asterisk] 33 = FSW. 5, record 28, English, - foot%20of%20sea%20water

1, record 39, French, - maladie%20des%20taches%20noires
