That's the buzz phrase, "go dark." This means that, if you are an investigator, all of a sudden all of your access to information evaporates, because not only the material but the systems that carry the material are so heavily encrypted you are not able to even detect the trail that you might like to follow. That is a huge issue that is technological on one side, and legal and constitutional on the other side. 1, record 1, English, - go%20dark

1, record 1, French, - devenir%20invisible

Following the introduction of laser-based target indication devices for strike aircraft, missiles and artillery projectiles it was noted that if the unprotected eye was exposed to the resultant laser beams, permanent blindness or, at the very least, temporary vision incapacity could result. 1, record 3, English, - laser%2Dbased%20target%20indication%20device

People suffering from blindsight are totally blind because of lesions in area V1. Yet if they are forced to guess, they can discriminate correctly among a wide variety of visual stimuli. They can, for example, distinguish between motion in different directions or between different wavelengths of light. Their abilities are imperfect and not completely reliable, but they are better than random guessing. Nevertheless, blindsight patients are not consciously aware of having seen anything at all, and they are often surprised that their guesses should have been so accurate. 1, record 4, English, - blindsight

Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 4, French, - vue%20aveugle
