So construed, disability is primarily an individual's medical problem in need of treatment. ... this medical model of disability holds that "a person's functional limitations (impairments) are the root cause of any disadvantages experienced and these disadvantages can therefore only be rectified by treatment or cure." 2, record 3, English, - medical%20model%20of%20disability

The first Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas was carried out from 1981-1985, and involved the efforts of over 1,300 volunteers who collectively carried out more than 120,000 hours of field work. This resulted in a data base of over 400,000 bird-locality records, giving unprecedented information on the breeding distribution of birds in Ontario. These results were summarized in the 1987 publication Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Ontario, edited by M. D. Cadman, P. F. J. Eagles, and F. M. Helleiner, which was jointly produced by the Federation of Ontario Naturalists and Long Point Bird Observatory. 1, record 14, English, - Atlas%20of%20the%20Breeding%20Birds%20of%20Ontario

1, record 23, French, - francophone%20hors%20Qu%C3%A9bec
Record number: 23, Textual support number: 3 OBS
1, record 23, French, - francophone%20hors%20Qu%C3%A9bec
Record number: 23, Textual support number: 4 OBS
1, record 23, French, - francophone%20hors%20Qu%C3%A9bec

Record number: 32, Textual support number: 3 OBS
5, record 32, French, - %C3%A9l%C3%A9vation
Record number: 32, Textual support number: 4 OBS
5, record 32, French, - %C3%A9l%C3%A9vation
Record number: 32, Textual support number: 5 OBS

2, record 50, French, - r%C3%A9cepteur%20de%20signaux%20de%20satellite

The pediatric nephrologist has traditionally not been involved in the care of the diabetic child since diabetic nephropathy presents in adulthood. Recent studies suggest that diabetic kidney disease develops silently during childhood. Measurement of urinary albumin excretion (UAE) allows earlier detection of patients at risk of nephropathy, often in adolescence. In addition to diabetic nephropathy, diabetic children are at risk of urinary tract infections, renal papillary necrosis, and various forms of glomerulonephritis. The role of the pediatric nephrologist in the care of the child with diabetes might include advising on the administration and interpretation of screening for UAE and the measurement and interpretation of glomerular filtration rate, and blood pressure. Children with evidence of renal dysfunction should be evaluated and treated by the pediatric nephrologist. Frequently, renal biopsy will be necessary in these patients. Future research may allow the detection of diabetic kidney disease earlier in childhood, further expanding the role of the pediatric nephrologist. In particular, early renal biopsy may eventually be used to select those patients at risk of diabetic nephropathy for specific treatment alterations. 2, record 61, English, - pediatric%20nephrologist

1, record 61, French, - p%C3%A9don%C3%A9phrologue

Some authorities, particularly at thompson-CSF, are considering an alternative to radar: optical detection. It is possible to conceive of a system with passive infra-red detection (despite the weak heat signature of a modern helicopter, especially when viewed head-on) backed up by a Doppler laser operating in the 10.6-micron wavelength, used in the manner of an ordinary radar. 1, record 75, English, - optical%20detection
