A fine, almost white, silklike cotton from Egypt. The staple averages 1¼ inches to 1½ inches. It spins to 100s and upwards, will bleach, dye, mercerize very well. Fabrics made from this cotton are strong, capable taking high finishes on sheer material, and give excellent service.
