Apprêt hydrofuge. Ce type d'apprêt confère aux textiles un caractère hydrophobe intéressant pour l'obtention d'articles imperméables à l'eau (vêtements de pluie, stores, tentes...). Il convient ici de préciser que l'apprêt fluoré utilisé ne fait qu'enrober les fibres et ne colmate pas les pores des tissus. Les tissus sont imperméables à l'eau tout en conservant la perméabilité à l'air ou à la vapeur d'eau (transpiration par exemple) du support.
