The guidance-oriented approach to learning promotes a career development process that fits into a continuum. Starting at the end of elementary school, students are gradually encouraged to identify their fields of interests, abilities and aptitudes, and to discover the academic and working worlds.

OBS

The concept of guidance-oriented approach to learning has its roots in the education reform that the province of Quebec initiated in the year 2000. The concept was first defined by Denis Pelletier in his book "L'approche orientante : la clé de la réussite scolaire et professionnelle".
