The Drainage Referee hears appeals on the legal aspects of a drainage work as well as appeals from a decision of the Tribunal. To appeal to the Referee a written notice must be served upon the Council of the initiating municipality. The clerk records the appeal and forwards it to the Clerk of the Court of the Referee. L'arbitre du drainage entend les appels concernant les aspects juridiques des travaux de drainage ainsi que les appels formés contre une décision rendue par la Commission de drainage. Pour faire appel devant l'arbitre du drainage, il faut adresser un avis écrit au conseil de la municipalité initiatrice. Le secrétaire de la municipalité enregistre l'avis d'appel et l'achemine au greffier du tribunal de l'arbitre. Les séances tenues par l'arbitre du drainage se déroulent selon une procédure formelle.
