The term "surveyor" is virtually meaningless in the English language without a qualifying adjective, such as "land," "hydrographic," "quantity" for example. Words also have significant differences of meaning between US [United States] and UK [United Kingdom] usage. La forme féminine «arpenteuse» est attestée par le Petit Robert, tandis que la forme «arpenteure» est absente des ouvrages.
