A fungous disease cause by Ascochyta chrysanthemi, the imperfect stage of Mycosphaerella ligulicola, family Mycosphaerellaceae. The corolla of the ray flowers is blighted, resulting in poorly developed, discolored, and one-sided heads. Sometimes the flower bud fails to open.
