English

Subject field(s)
  • Biotechnology
CONT

Biomolecule Research Division is to screen and identify biologically active lead substances to be eveloped for health care products and agrochemicals. Efforts are being directed to the screening of antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial substances and enzyme inhibitors from microbial culture broth and plant extracts as well as to the studying on the mode of action of the newly isolated compounds. Studies on the biosynthesis and biotransformation of biologically active substances are also being conducted.

CONT

DEF

Molecules found in living matter ... The organic compounds present in living matter occur in extraordinary variety, and most of them are extremely complex.

CONT

The simple organic compounds from which living organisms are constructed are unique to life and do not otherwise occur on the earth today, except as products of biological activity. These building-block compounds [are] called biomolecules ....

PHR

polyfunctional biomolecule.

DEF

Molécule de substance vivante.

CONT

PHR

biomolécule polyfonctionnelle.
