CANPASS - Private Boats program. This program combines a telephone reporting system with a pre-approval permit for recreational boaters travelling to Canada from the United States. CANPASS participants, who have been security cleared, may call customs up to four hours prior to their arrival, and obtain clearance to enter Canada. They may then land at any government-approved dock or marina. This program is available only to citizens and permanent residents of Canada and the United States.

CANPASS - Bateaux privés. Le programme combine un système de déclaration par téléphone et un permis préapprouvé pour les plaisanciers qui se rendent au Canada à partir des États-Unis. Les participants au programme, qui ont obtenu une autorisation de sécurité, peuvent appeler les douanes jusqu'à quatre heures avant leur arrivée au Canada. Ils peuvent alors accoster à une marina ou à un quai approuvé par le gouvernement. Le programme n'est offert qu'aux citoyens et aux résidents permanents du Canada et des États-Unis.
