Committee of Senior Officials (COSO). The Committee, composed of deputy ministers of departments and deputy heads of agencies, provides advice and counsel to the Clerk of the Privy Council on a number of issues - including government-wide human resource issues. The Secretary of the Treasury Board and the President of the Public Service Commission are members of the committee. The Committee of Senior Officials has had significant involvement in initiatives aimed at renewing or modernizing the public service.
