Members of the Dental Materials and Devices Committee act in an advisory and consultative capacity, and regularly evaluate the non-pharmacological aspects of the materials and devices employed in the practise of dentistry. The committee also develops standards for materials and devices, and encourages the testing, evaluation, acceptance and certification of these products.
