The Council of Science and Technology Advisors (CSTA) - is a group of advisors outside the government who provide expert science advice to the federal cabinet. The CSTA aims to improve the management of federal science and technology by examining problems shared by departments and agencies, including Health Canada, that focuses on science and research. The advisory group also highlights potential opportunities for partnerships. Established in 1998, the CSTA was created in response to the government's science and technology plan. Le Conseil d'experts en sciences et en technologie (CEST) - est un groupe de conseillers externes qui donne des conseils scientifiques d'experts au Cabinet fédéral. Le CEST a pour but d'améliorer la gestion de la science et de la technologie du gouvernement fédéral en examinant les questions d'intérêt commun des ministères et des organismes à vocation scientifique, y compris Santé Canada. Le Conseil met également en valeur les possibilités de partenariat.
