The purpose of the Committee for the Advancement of Native Employment (CANE) is to examine, explore and recommend ways to increase the number of Aboriginal persons employed within INAC (Indian and Northern Affairs Canada), seek ways to retain these employees and improve the quality of their employment. Le Comité pour l'avancement de l'emploi autochtone (CAEA) a pour objectif d'étudier, d'explorer et de recommander divers moyens d'accroître le nombre d'employés autochtones aux AINC (Affaires indiennes et du Nord Canada) ainsi que de trouver des façons de retenir ces employés et d'améliorer la qualité de leur emploi. À cette fin, le CAEA travaille en coopération avec la haute direction et les autres niveaux du Ministère.
