La culture sur brûlis, ou abattis-brûlis, est un mode traditionnel extensif de mise en valeur agricole consistant à abattre et brûler la forêt d'une parcelle pour la mettre en culture puis à l'abandonner pour permettre la reconquête forestière. Le paysage qui en résulte est l’abattis agricole.
