A chemical compound which appears under the form of a colorless, nonflammable, poisonous liquid with a sweetish odour, is insoluble in water, is miscible with most solvents and thinners, is slightly soluble in water, and which is used as a scavenger for lead in gasoline, a fumigant, in medicine, in waterproofing preparations, and as a solvent in organic synthesis.
