A professional builder or installer of landscapes.

The landscape contractor's work may include the building of pathways, roads, outdoor structures, walls, patios, fences, retaining walls, planters and other like items. The landscape contractor also prepares soil, installs plants, irrigation systems, lighting and associated items of work. He or she may employ subcontractors to assist with certain technical phases of his or her work.
