In December 2011, the Fédération québécoise de golf and Golf Québec amalgamated for the purpose of creating a single governing body for the promotion and development of golf practice in Québec. This new organization is recognized by the Québec government under the name of Québec Golf Federation. Its Board of Directors includes directors from the Golf Québec, Association des terrains de golf du Québec, and Professional Golfers' Association of Québec.
