Rhodesia (located in East Africa) was divided into two territories of the Commonwealth, namely Northern Rhodesia and Southern Rhodesia, which from 1953 to 1963 were integrated as one federation with Nyasaland. In 1964, Northern Rhodesia became Zambia and Nyasaland was renamed Malawi: since, 1980 Southern Rhodesia is named Zimbabwe.
