The localization of two or more enzymes at the same time and in the same micro-vicinity. 1, record 1, English, - simultaneous%20immobilization
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
[Simultaneous immobilization] may be achieved by such means as covalent bonding of the enzymes to the same functionalized polymer or by entrapment of the catalysts within the same microspace of a crosslinked polymer, microcapsule, or membrane-dependent device. 1, record 1, English, - simultaneous%20immobilization

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Immobilization of two or more enzymes so as to form multifunctional catalysts. 4, record 2, English, - co%2Dimmobilization
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The co-immobilization of two enzymes should be capable of more complex conversions than are possible using a single enzyme. For instance, glucose oxidase and catalase have been co-immobilized so that the hydrogen peroxide produced by the glucose oxidase is degraded by the catalase before it can inactivate the glucose oxidase. 4, record 2, English, - co%2Dimmobilization
