In response to the Commission's questions on the reported relatively high failure rate for exams for "Special Generals" completed in March 2001 (5 of 23 candidates failed), OPG [Ontario Power Generation] explained that this result was due to a problem in completing the training program objectives. One candidate has since taken the appropriate remedial training and is now certified.
