OBS

L'on distingue les formules «vraies» pour toutes les interprétations des formules «fausses» : les formules «consistantes» sont vraies (elles admettent un modèle), les formules «valides» sont toujours vraies, quelles que soient les valeurs de vérité attribuées aux propositions qu'elles contiennent. La négation d'une formule valide est «inconsistante» et la négation d'une formule consistante est «invalide». Une formule qui n'est ni valide, ni inconsistante, est parfois appelée «contingente». Une formule valide est appelée «tautologie» en calcul propositionnel.
