On February 2003, the National Forum on Policing in a Multicultural Society focussed on three themes: recognizing and embracing diversity, civilian oversight, and policing with national security at the forefront. Its objective was to build and strengthen relationships between members of ethnoracial and cultural community groups and law enforcement agencies.
