Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Any discontinuity in chromosome structure occurring across the entire cross-section of the chromosome; chromosome breaks are either of spontaneous occurrence or are produced by the action of mutagens. They are recognizable during nuclear division (mitosis, meiosis) and lead to the formation of centric and acentric fragments. 2, record 1, English, - chromosome%20break

Discontinuities which involve only one of the two chromatids or subunits of the chromatids are referred to as chromatid and subchromatid breaks. 2, record 1, English, - chromosome%20break

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 1, French, - cassure%20chromosomique
