C'est le cas, par exemple, de la firme Simone Mahler qui fabrique des produits de beauté qui sont distribués et vendus par les franchisés. Mais ces derniers les utilisent aussi directement, dans des instituts de beauté où les esthéticiennes emploient ces produits pour prodiguer des soins de beauté suivant des préconisations du franchiseur. D'où la notion de services qui qualifie également cette franchise de production.
