The rock mass is first fractured by drilling and blasting and then mucked out through drift headings underneath the rock mass cave. It qualifies as a safe mining method because the miners always work inside drift-size openings. 1, record 1, English, - drift%20heading

heading: A roadway driven in a coal seam, unless it is a hard heading which is driven in stone. 2, record 1, French, - galerie%20d%27avancement%20en%20direction
