OBS

The ILZSG [International Lead and Zinc Study Group] was formed by the United Nations in 1959 to: provide opportunities for regular intergovernmental consultations on international trade in lead and zinc; provide continuous information on the supply and demand position of lead and zinc and its probable development and to make special studies of the world situation in lead and zinc; consider possible solutions to any problems or difficulties which are unlikely to be resolved in the ordinary development of world trade.

Not to be confused with the International Lead-Zinc Research Organization, founded in 1958, which is sponsored by the industry.

Le Groupe d'étude international sur le zinc et le plomb a été mis en place par l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1959 avec les objectifs suivants : présenter des occasions de consultations intergouvernementales régulières sur le thème du commerce international du plomb et du zinc; fournir des informations en continu sur l'état de l'offre et la demande de plomb et de zinc et son évolution probable; effectuer des études spécifiques sur la situation mondiale concernant le plomb et le zinc et tenter de trouver des solutions éventuelles à des problèmes ou à des difficultés qui seraient susceptibles de ne pas être résolus dans le cadre «normal» du développement du commerce mondial.
