Le programme de Baccalauréat en génagogie [de l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières] veut former des professionnels spécialisés dans l'organisation fonctionnelle des groupes. Ainsi le rôle de ces professionnels génagogues consiste essentiellement à servir d'intermédiaire entre chaque personne, son groupe et toutes les ressources du milieu. Le génagogue assure à chaque personne, dans et par le groupe, la sélection optimale des influences dont elle a besoin pour se développer. L'objet et le milieu de son action sont d'abord le groupe et son évolution.
