In 1991-92, a project was established to improve Common Information Management (CIM) on a government-wide basis. This project comprises two complementary facets. The first is the application of effective information management to common information in the functional areas of finance, personnel, materiel and real property, and the second is the requirement for a program that will coordinate activities between the functional areas and establish common, government-wide policies and data standards.

Le Programme GIC constitue une nouvelle approche pour la culture des céréales, basée sur l'utilisation de variétés à rendement élevé et sur un programme précis d'applications de fertilisants et de fongicides. Dans des conditions idéales, la GIC permet d'obtenir une augmentation significative du rendement et de la qualité par rapport aux méthodes classiques de la culture des céréales, et l'utilisation de fongicides comme le propiconazole est responsable d'une partie importante de l'accroissement du rendement.
