The two GCCs in Germany and the United Kingdom act within the "Marine Climatological Summaries Scheme" (MCSS) under the "Marine Programme of the World Meteorological Organization" (WMO), coordinated by the "Joint WMO/IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology" (JCOMM). They work in parallel to provide continuous, international marine climatological dataflow within MCSS.
