Plus la base commune est forte entre les participants plus la communication entre eux va être claire, compréhensible et plus le coût de l'échange sera faible. En effet, si deux personnes travaillent depuis longtemps ensemble, elles n'auront plus forcément besoin de parler pour d'une part communiquer et d'autre part être sûr que l'autre a compris ce qu'on a voulu communiquer.
